About our school

Our History

Queensbury is a large village mid-way between Bradford and Halifax that enjoys a unique situation.

At 1,050 feet above sea level, we believe we are the ‘top secondary school in the country’. About half of the school population comes from this distinct community with its mixed semi-urban and rural feel; the remainder of our pupils travel some distance as a result of parental preference.

Queensbury School became an academy and joined Feversham Education Trust (FET) – an outstanding Multi Academy Trust (MAT) in September 2016. This is an exciting period in the school’s history as it joins a dynamic MAT led by a Chief Executive who has a strong track record in building outstanding teams, that deliver outstanding schools – the last three schools he has led have all been graded outstanding by Ofsted.
